The use of teams has come to the fore during the coronavirus pandemic in particular. However, this app collects some <a href=\"https:\/\/de.ryte.com\/wiki\/Metadaten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">metadata<\/a> when used, which raises data protection concerns. But why data protection?<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teams collects data when using<\/h2>\n\n<p>But what personal and metadata is actually collected when using Teams? According to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/de-de\/microsoftteams\/teams-privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft&#8217;s<\/a> official <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/de-de\/microsoftteams\/teams-privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data protection overview<\/a>, the following data is collected:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Content (meetings, chats, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Profile data (profile picture, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call quality data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Diagnostic data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Nevertheless, you can make some settings for data protection in the Teams app and configure them freely. This is both a blessing and a curse, as it provides information on whether an employee is available, absent or on a call. However, it can also be used to monitor employees. It is possible to determine from the status whether and how long the employee has been at the computer. But where is the data protection here? Of course, employees often don&#8217;t dare mention this to their colleagues or superiors.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teams increase data protection<\/h2>\n\n<p>Increasing data protection in Teams is generally difficult, as you can&#8217;t do without all functions. However, the problem with the status can be solved.
